I am running VV Pro 2.5 build 2517 64 bit on Windows 10. I use it to back up my Lightroom catalog and photos to a Samsung SSD T3 external HD. I got it a couple of months ago when the external HD I was using started exhibiting signs of failure. I didn't move any of the files on that drive to the Samsung. I think that VV is doing what is supposed to do, mirror source to target. However, every time I back up my catalog and photos, I get a message

"Some files are present in both source and target, but are newer in target.
If you want to overwrite these files with older source files while backing
up use option "replace newer target files with older source files".

There are a couple of things that I don't understand about that message. The first is why newer files are in target. The second is that if that's something I should be doing; I can't find where that option is located in VV Pro, and don't understand why I should do that. I just upgraded to build 2517 today and the message that was in 2514 is still in 2517.

Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi , this could be a timestamp issue with some files on target. Try performing a visual comparison of source and target (click on "Compare" in ViceVersa) and check which files are reported as newer in target. Does this happen only for certain files? thanks
