Hi, I'm having trouble setting up email notifications.
I am managing the backups for a company of 50 workstations and we keep all the viceversa profiles on a network share. I updated the settings for each profile to send email on execution error. It works fine if I send test email but then when each workstation runs the scheduled backup task it fails and says the email password is invalid.
It looks like the password stored in the profile is somehow dependent on the user who is loading the profile. Is there any way around this? I need to be able to manage all the profiles centrally and not have to go to each station and setup the email notifications. |

My plan to deal with this was to write a little powershell script that puts the encrypted password into the fsf file and run it from the profile but it gives me a Windows cannot find "powershell.exe" error. Is powershell not the windows path? Is there anyway to specify the exe location? |

Hi, are all the workstations using the same profile (.fsf) that is in the network? Do they all use the same e-mail account and pwd to send the e-mail? _________________ --

Each workstation has its own profile but ya they will all use the same login to send email. |

Hi, all passwords in the profiles are encrypted and linked to the machine / user which creates them. That is done to avoid that the profile can be "stolen" and passwords read by a an unauthorized third-party. _________________ --
