Running VVEngine v2.1 (Build 2104) on a Windows 7 platform, I notice a marked slowing of my computer whenever a profile is being run. I've used Windows Task Manager to set the CPU and I/O priorities for VVEngine to "low", but the issue persists. Are there additional steps which I could take to reduce the resource consumption of this process? |

Hi, have you enabled Volume Shadow Copied in ViceVersa for this profile? Are you copying files from / to network ? Check the profile log while the profile is running ... where does the profile seem to slow down? thanks _________________ --

Thank you for your response. The source is a network-attached-storage device, and the destination is a drive formatted with TrueCrypt. I haven't enabled Volume Shadow Copy. I just now set the Process Priority to "Low", and perhaps that will be of benefit. Would you recommend using VSS? |

No, can't use VSS with a NAS. Is it copying from NAS to TrueCrypt drive? Could it be an issue with TrueCrypt ? thanks _________________ --

I think setting the process priority to low has helped. It's not great, but better. Thank you. BTW, I'm not getting Email notification when there is a new posting on this thread. |
