|
|
Part of the process I am using requires users to save files which can be up to 300MB to the source drive. The problem I am experiencing is the program wants to begin transferring to the Target drive before the file arrives complete on the source causing user errors in the saving process.
I can set the program to look at the source every few minutes but if the user is attempting to save the file to the source when the program runs then the same problem occurs. Any suggestions?
Also when this happens it leaves a ~.tmp file on the Target side. I have to go in an manually delete it. I am using the latest version of VV and VV Engine(V2.1) Build 2106) Thanks! |

Hello,
- are you able to enable VSS to copy files? See:
http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item33.htm
- In the VVEngine settings (are you using the VVEngine add-on?) you can set a period of no disk activity before the copy starts.
http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm
You can set the amount of seconds of inactivity to wait, after the first file change is detected, before VVEngine starts a profile. You can also set the total maximum time to wait in seconds.
For example, the default values are 3 and 10, which means that VVEngine will look for a period of inactivity of 3 seconds before starting a profile, after the first file change is detected, but limited to a total maximum of 10 seconds. If after 10 seconds, there is no period of inactivity of 3 seconds, VVEngine will start the profile anyway.
