My PC recently blue screened coming out of hibernation. As a consequence I seem to have lost all the profiles setup within VVEngine.

Is there anything I can do to recover the profiles?

Thanks

Hi, the scheduling information in VVEngine is kept in the file:
VVEngine.xml
also in the same directory a backup file is kept:
VVEngine.xml.bak

thanks

I have those files in two locations:

C:\Users\Martyn\AppData\Roaming\VVEngine

and

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\VVEngine

What is the relationship between these two versions?

Thanks

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\VVEngine

Hi, I have to move my VVVEngine 2.2 Server Premium Edition (Build 2210) installation (2008 r2) to a newly built server (2012 r2).

To take all of the ' Time Scheduling' and 'File Monitoring' rules with it, I just have to copy the :

VVEngine.xml

to

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\VVEngine

is that correct ?

Hi, yes, check the location of the VVengine.xml from the old server and make a copy of it. You can also open it with a text editor to see content. Then place it in new location (overwrite existing). Probably need to adapt profile paths in XML file. thanks
