|
|
I have some questions regarding the Pro edition:
1) Does it depend on AD?
2) If so does it work across forests?
3) I want to do a trial over the weekend - if I buy after that do I need to re-install and re-seed or is it just entering a license key?
4) Are there any limits on the trial version?
5) My scenario is continuous server-to-server replication so do I need the VV engine to accomplish?
6) If so can I also have the VV engine on trial?
If the trial succeeds then I will have seeded my future production file server from a service providers server. So it is important that I know if there are any limits so they can be taken into account. I have a 30-60 day period to facility cut-over and I want the replication to run continuously the entire time. I plan to use the future file server as the VV host and it will need to server as a file server and replication server for about three weeks - is this do-able.
If it all works I will buy licenses of both for two servers next week. Please let me know the answers to these. |

Yes, ViceVersa PRO and VVEngine will work between Windows Network Shares, that is the only requirement. thanks _________________ --
