|

I use viceversa pro. I am thinking of recommending it to my new job, but (there always seems to be a but though huh) we have people with laptops, but the main concern is that when a backup is scheduled they won't be in the building for the backup to happen. So I would like viceversa to perform the backup when the source becomes available (automatically, of course) is this possible.
Thanks for your help

I was hoping to get a response regarding this matter. Right now in order to accomplish this task, I have to integrate a different scheduler into my backups on laptops. This is the scheduler
http://www.splinterware.com/products/wincron.htm
I was hoping your scheduler would be capable of accomplishing something similar. They have features such as:
enable job
disable job
file watcher
These features do make this possible but my employer won't spring for a license for your software and a license for there scheduler for each laptop. That is why I was hoping your scheduler would be more powerful than the typical windows scheduler, but it seems as though it is based on windows scheduler. |

Hello - our scheduler is based on the Windows Scheduler, but did you try using VVLauncher? This is a tool that comes with ViceVersa PRO and is installed under Program Files->ViceVersa PRO 2->Tools _________________ --

I was hoping for a synce when availible also.
You can do it using vvLauncher, having it set up to run and then it will work when the target is availible.... but this ties up vvLauncher, which then can't do anything else like create data backups on the notebook or an attached flash drive.
it would be nice if, " it was possible to have more than 1 instance of vvLauncher running or, better yet have vvLauncher select the profile based on the drive discovered/target discovered."
Thanks

In one of the next ViceVersa releases VVLauncher will be supporting multiple profiles and will also be able to run a profile as soon as a folder becomes available. _________________ --
