I'm in the process of transferring to a new laptop. I've installed ViceVersa Pro, copied all the VV profiles that I've been running overnight for some time to the new machine and scheduled them with VVScheduler, but none of them are running.
They're all set to 'wake the computer' and I think my power settings for the laptop, which is running on mains supply overnight, are correct. I've also cancelled 'require password on wake' in case that was causing a problem, but it made no difference. Oddly, I don't see anything in Windows Task Scheduler, which I thought I would.
The machine is running Windows 10 (currently v1511 Build 10586.63)
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks,
Mike |

Sorry, I don't know how I missed them before, but the tasks are in Task Scheduler.
I've also just scheduled a task to run while the laptop is fully active and it ran OK, so it definitely looks like the problem is with power settings. I've never had a problem with my other machine not waking from sleep.
Maybe you have some experience or suggestions (though I accept it doesn't seem to be a VV problem).
Thanks,

Thanks - No, I think everything else is working OK (not that there's much else in there apart from various system stuff).
I've played around with things and the VV tasks are running now. As I suspected, it seemed to be a problem with Sleep on the laptop. I've now got it set to 'Never' and they run normally. I'll keep experimenting and try to find a less extreme solution.
Many thanks. |
