Hi!
I'm running ViceVersa Pro 2 build 2009 and mirroring around 300GB from taget to source. Win2003 to Win2000 platforms.
When files are created, they are copied just fine to target with the same attributes as set on source. F.ex. read-only files are copied retaining the read-only attribute and files without file attributes set are created without attributes.
But then when I f.ex. make a file on the source read-only, by setting the read-only attribute, the file on the taget is not modified to be read-only. Also when setting/changing NTFS security settings on files or folders, they are not copied to target unless they were there when the files where initially copied to target.
Is this the way it's supposed to work, or am I missing out on something here?
Best Regards

VV will not sync NTFS permissions if only NTFS permissions have changed but not the file timestamps. The same is valid for file attributes such as read-only, hidden etc, they are synchronized when the modified file timestamp changes. _________________ --

Thanks for the reply.
Are there any plans of including this in the future?
Best Regards
