|
|
Hi there
Is this possible?
I tried and it seemed to take a log file name ok before (I think) but now is giving me problems.
The reason I want to do this is to avoid the tedium of updating the logfile path when i copy VV profiles from one directory to another.
Thanks |

Hi, it needs the entire path but you can use:
<profilepath>log5.log
<profilepath> expands automatically to the path of the profile.
thanks _________________ --

Thank you.
Are there any other variables that may be used in the log file field?
E.g. One that represents the name of the profile I would find very useful.... |

I go here
Vice Versa > Change Profile Settings > Execution > F1
Takes me to help location
Profile Settings > Execution
I scroll down to Logging.
I do not see mention of any variables.
Am I looking in the wrong place? |

Great feature....which I knew nothing about until yesterday ie 'Folder Variables' can be used in the 'Log File' execution set up !
[File] / [Change Profile Settings...] / [Execution] - 'Logging'
I'm using :
Quote: |
C:\- Working Files\- ViceVersa Log Files\<year>-<month>-<day> - <hour>.<min> [hrs-min] -- <profile>.log |
Thank you VV Team (again....) |
