VV works great and does everything I want from it, but I have a strange problem. I have an internal ADSL modem, and every time I execute a task with VV, it makes my connection drop.
I have two 'levels' of connection, the modem connects to the telephone exchange on startup, and then I connect a 'dialup' connection which just gives the username and connects instantly.
VV actually makes the connection to the exchange drop, meaning my modem is totally disconnected. It then reconnects, but is soon disconnected again. This happens until I stop VV syncing my directories. It is not just conincidence because I have used it about 10 times on seperate occasions and it disconnects as soon as I start VV executing. This does not happen on comparison though.
Is this supposed to be a feature so the internet cannot be a source of interruption to the syncing process? Or is it a bug? If it is a feature, how can I stop it? If it isn't, is there a way I can fix it?
Thanks. |

Hello, this is not a feature of ViceVersa and I am not sure why it is happening, since VV does not deal with modem or ADSL settings at all. Have you tried fine tuning the copy buffer (try a smaller size) and the bandwidth in the profile settings->performance ? Maybe that will help. _________________ --
