At the TV station I work for, we are installing a new content server for on-air news. We will need to run the two servers side-by-side for the next three months or so while other upgrades are being performed.

We need a software package that we can install on a computer that will look at the content folder on EACH server and will mirror automatically to the other. That is, if content is dropped on FS2, ViceVersa will see it and mirror it to FS1. If content is dropped on FS1, it gets mirrored to FS2. All hands off, in either direction.

Both servers are on the same LAN, sharing ports on the same GigE switch. The control and monitor computer, which will be running ViceVersa or whatever, is on the same switch.

Is ViceVersa capable of doing this folder mirroring, bi-directional and hands off? Or should I be looking somewhere else.

Thanks for your help!

Hi , ViceVersa will be able to do that, see some info:

It will not replicate the entire OS, mainly data and files.
