With Windows 2003 server as the OS, we are synching two data sources . One is a local partition with a logical designation of E: and the other is a network drive. When the comparison is run, we get this error:
Checking source E:\ ...
[INFO] Cannot access folder E:\System Volume Information\. Folder excluded.
File sharing is enabled at the root level of E: - we have no issues sharing data with network users. Suggestions?
This error kills the compare process. When the network drive was second to the local drive in the compare process, compare stopped before we reached the network drive ("ignore" was selected in the profile.) Moving the network drive to the first location ahead of the local drive resolved that issue.
Thanks is advance - Russ |

Folder E:\System Volume Information\. Folder excluded.
contains system restore points information. Even if shared at E:\ level this folder may not be accessible (see security attributes on the folder).

What do you mean by "was second" ? ViceVersa normally excludes this folder and continues. Do you have a log file of both runs, one with the network drive on second location and one on first location? you can activate the log file in the profile settings (execution section) _________________ --
