Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it on a search.
Is this normal?
Running Vice Versa Pro 2.5 and VVEngine Server Premium 2.1, trying to sync a folder with 57 total subfolders in the tree and nearly 700 GB worth of files. The D:\Files folder on the target folder is empty as this is the initial run.
I setup the profile and started the copy about 4PM EDT yesterday and at 8:52 AM not a single folder or file has been copied. This morning the status and details of the profile is listed below.
Status Details: Checking source...
Schedule: Run at startup - Monitor source(s) and run when file changes are detected - Monitoring Level: Subfolder - Run immediately as soon as source and target are accessible - If error occurs rerun after 1 minute - Check if source and target are accessible on server using PING command only
All profile settings:
Folders
- Source: "D:\files\"
- Target: "\\TARGETSERVER\D$\Files\"
- Include Subfolders: Yes
- Create sources/targets that do not exist
Comparison
- Comparison Type: Size and Timestamp
Execution
- Method: Synchronization
- No overwrite / read-only / error confirmations
- Tracking Database: "D:\ViceVersa\vvdb1.tdb"
- Log File: "D:\ViceVersa\log1.log" (max 10000 KB) (empty log file each run)
- Log only summary and errors
- No archive for deleted/replaced source files
- No archive for deleted/replaced target files
New Changes: 1777
Changes Currently Being Processed: 17
(Shouldn't this be a LOT more?)
Show Details and History:
[Folder] : D:\files\ (7/28/2015 4:19:27 PM) ... being processed
[Folder] : D:\files\{EACH SUBFOLDER} (7/28/2015 4:19:38 PM) ... being processed
And so on for every single subfolder is still showing "being processed", and not a single file has been copied.
Further, the log file has not been updated since yesterday, and the vvdb1.tlb database file for this profile is 0 KB in size.
After 16 hours in, I don't want to abort and restart this process if it is normal to take this long, but it is looking like nothing is happening here.
Please advise. |

Hi, this is not normal, it looks like the profile is stuck. Check the profile log with Notepad, it should grow in size and new lines should be being added to it. thanks _________________ --
