mmmmmmmm Sad , can you try temporarily deleting the connections for the account you are trying to connect, maybe they are still in the cache, please see example:

http://www.binbert.com/blog/2010/11/net-use-disconnect-all-previous-connections-to-the-server-or-shared-resource/

thanks

It works just fine if I run VVPro manually, it is only when I run VVEngine that it fails. This has to be a bgu in VVENgine

I have a batch job that runs at boot. It deletes all newtork connections and re-establishes them - there should be no cache problem

Just to make sure I couldn't be accused of not trying everything I disconnect one of the shares and ran VVEngine against it

Guess what?

Same problem!

I can try that , but that is where I started from and it didn't work, so what is the reason for trying again?

What error message did you get when setting-up the VVEngine service to run under the Admin user ? Did you use domain\account notation in profile settings -> folders -> network? thanks

This one:

"(Folder address) is not accessible using the credntials entered. Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one username are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again"

Now I am really confused, I had rebooted for other reasons, and tried again with default user, and away it went! Running happily. I don't think it was just the reboot as I had rebooted several times before

I still think it is very complicated setting this up!

I just tried again without changing anything and it goes back to the same error message! This is rubbish!

I am not sure why this is not working... I have it setup myself on Win7 running as service and replicating to the LAN. Which Windows version are you running?

Thanks, please create a batch file to run before execution (ViceVersa profile settings -> advanced settings) containing the following command:

net use

Then when the profile runs, the output of the batch will be shown in the profile log so we can see what connections are already setup.

thanks

OK here's the log, as you can see it couldn't even find the bat file! I selected it from the profile, but when it cane to run it, it couldn't find it. This program is getting very irritating. Much more of this and I will ask for my money back and use soemthing else!
