All of the permissions seem correct except the owner rights have been reset to nothing. I am copying ldf files from one drive to another. both drives have been added to a Windows Cluster. The active drive is under the SQL cluster and the other drive just exists. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I think by default the owner info is not copied, check the option in profile settings -> advanced settings -> details... (second button from top) thanks

Copy/file/folder permissions
Copy file/folder auditing
Copy file/folder owner

are all checked.

If I look at the security settings for an LDF file it has the OWNER RIGHTS group but none of the permissions are checked.

Just though I'd see if there was a fix. I ran the command below to fix it for now.

robocopy L:\LDF W:\LDF /secfix /copyall /xo /xn /xc

Does that fix the owner info?
