|
|
Hello,
I am registered user of ViceVersa Pro 1.3.1 and am very satisfied with the software - until yesterday.
I started a sync between my laptop and my desktop with the following settings:
Source: Desktop, path c:\1_Daten\1_Privat
Target: Laptop, path h:\1_Daten\1_Privat
Sync Method: Replication (Mirror)
1) ViceVersa deleted files from my laptop (which I understand since they were not present on the desktop, but they are not in the recycle bin !!!!! (use recycle bin is tickered !!)
2) Vice Versa deleted files from the windows directory (c:\documents and settings) allthough this directory is not included in the sync job ?
?? How can I get back the files ?
?? Why could this happen ?
Thanks in advance,
Josef Schinnerl

When deleting from a remote computer (eg running ViceVersa on the source computer and deletinmg from the target) will not move to the recycle bin... unfortunately this is a Windows limitation, you can try also with Windows Explorer. You can recover your files by running a file recovery tool on the laptop. The files are still there but their are not indexed. A file recovery tool will recover them.
