|
|
Hi Folks,
First the setup: two servers connected via vpn. 2008R2 on one side, 2012R2 on the other.
Total folders: 275,255
Total Files: 614,668
Total GB: 438
I have VV Pro 2.5 and VVEngine running on both servers. I've tried to divide the sync jobs in two with each server getting approximately 1/2 of the files to sync.
the problem: on the server 2012R2 side i've set up folder exclusions that don't seem to work. All of the top level folders are numbered - so my exclusion looks like this:
Exclude "[1-1433000]* - Case Sensitive: No"
doesn't seem to be working correctly though - is that syntax right?
thanks, |

it might be easier to describe if I email you a screenshot. I'll do that now. |

I have got the screenshot thanks. Try to add the following filters in one profile:
Include \1*
Include \2*
Include \3*
Include \4*
And in the other one
Exclude \1*
Exclude \2*
Exclude \3*
Exclude \4* _________________ --

Hi again,
I've made the changes that you suggested and that seems to have helped. However, we've also upgraded our VVengine license to "server premium" and I've configured VVEngine to "monitor both source and target" and when changes are made at the "subfolder" level to run VV pro on that subfolder.
the problem i'm experiencing now is that one of the profiles is continuously running and making no changes. It says (changes detected) Successful. (Incremental) (No files/folders copied or deleted). Then it immediately starts over again - so this is happening about once a minute.
I'd appreciate any help. |

Hi, the issue is that the real-time monitoring in VVEngine reports changes also in excluded files, then the profile runs and it will exclude those files. _________________ --
