I have 4 profiles set to run daily with the scheduler. When I run the profile manually it works fine but when I run it through the scheduler I get the error "target not found".

FWIW, I am having this same problem, but ONLY on those PC's which are attached to the network wirelessly. Hardwired connections function flawlessly in VWScheduler with drive names.

I've reset the target drive to:

\\192.168.1.118\Laptop_Backup

for the laptop that it wireless and it fails (both manual and scheduled) and says target not found.

Any ideas? I looked at the article referenced in the previous post by TGRMN and it said use \\unc\share, hence the naming I tried.

My NAS doesn't have an overall "name". What would I do to get that "named" to make this work? It's a synology.

any help available?

Is the information point of mapped drives working over wired, vs not working over wireless known?

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

Hi, wired or wireless should not make any difference. Can you access \\192.168.1.118\Laptop_Backup using Windows Explorer? Do you need to specify account name + password to access? thanks

Yes. I can access it just fine and no, I do not need a uid/pwd to do so.

More info -
When looking at the VVScheduler and I try to manually run the task, the task reads target not found.
But if I hit the show comparison button in the scheduler that works fine. no problem finding the target there.

This has never been solved. Still do not understand why mapped drives work fine on 3 out of 4 PC's I've installed this on and 1 it does not. they are all Windows 8.1. Only difference is wireless vs. wired.

Have asked before how to specify a UNC name for the target. The only way I know how is \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\folder. When I do that, even the normal run through VVP doesn't find the drive.

However, I can access any "drive" (folder) on my NAS I want through that naming however via a browser or a CMD prompt. and without being specified for user-id/pwd.

Would buying VVEngine solve this problem? Does it work with mapped drives by drive letter? Quote willing to pay $25 to make this problem go away forever.

Please help.
