|
|
VV works perfectly and finds both source and target folders when run.
The source and target shares are both on the same NAS, located on different physical disks within the NAS.
When using VVE, I get the error "Target folder not found"
I followed the diagnosis provided and used both mapped and UNC descriptors for the folders and it makes no difference. I do not use VV as a service.
I have also told ViceVersa the username and password credentials for the NAS which then means that when I use "TEST" the system cannot find the NAS. When I use default credentials or no credentials, VV finds the NAS no problem
Please can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thank you. |

Thank you for your reply
I have tried the username and password for the NAS. I put it in the "Network" part of the VV profile. Is that what you mean? |

Hi, yes, usually you enter user and password in the profile settings and it works. Do you get extra info on why the target folder is not found? thanks _________________ --

Hi, when you click on "Test Connection" in the profile network settings and it fails, what error message is shown? thanks _________________ --

I'll try that when I get home from work and let you know. |

OK,
Problem solved from a different direction
I needed to "take ownership" of the folder I'm using as the mapped target drive by running a registry edit file and then ensure that there were no attributes.
Don't particularly understand it but it has worked |

I spoke too soon
Same fault is back.
When I try the network test it says "not accessible"
I'm getting worried now. Please advise further? |

Try right-clicking on the ViceVersa program icon and select "Run as administrator". Then enter the network credentials in the profile settings and click on 'Test Connection'. Still same error given? thanks _________________ --

OK - Thank you. I will try when i get home from work.
Something maybe to think about. I have three profiles and this is the only one that causes problems. |

Hi I am having the same problem. Have tried running as adminstrator as suggested but no change. I don't understand why a Profile which works in VVPro fails when run in VVEngine? |

Hi,
Same error when running as Administrator.
I'm definitely confused as to why only one of three profiles would have this problem? |
