I am using VV 2.0 (deciding whether to upgrade), and just compressed a file with a password. I tried accessing the file with 7-Zip, but I can't open up the file. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Hi, was it compressed and encrypted or just compressed? I tried version 2.5 and the compressed files were OK when opening with 7zip. thanks _________________ --

they were both compressed and pasword protected. I want to be able to create a back up file compressed that I can send to someone else with password protection. Is that possible to do with 2.5? |

Hi, if it's encrypted then only ViceVersa will be able to open the files. If it's compressed only then you'll be able to use zip-7 too. thanks _________________ --

ok, that's too bad. Any thought of updating that soon? I'd rather not be dependent on having a copy of viceversa in order to open an encrypted file. For example synchback software uses standard zip for compression and password. i'd rather stick with vv since I have been using it for many years, but this seems like a significant limitation. thanks. |

Hi, I have added this item to our list of possible improvements for next releases. I think it would be a useful feature. thanks _________________ --

I, too, would like to see support for ZIP encryption. |
