Hello
I have the following annoying problem since about a week now:
When I start a file/folder comparison with an fsf-profile, ViceVersa gets stuck in "checking Tracking Database" and doesn't come out of this situation anymore.
The fsf-profile was not changed, I used it successfully for over a year now.
My OS is Windows 7 home Premium 32 bits
My version of ViceVers is 2.5 build 2513
Can somebody point me into a direction to solve this problem please ?

Hi , please try resetting the tracking database from profile settings -> execution in the ViceVersa profile settings. thank you _________________ --

That didn't solve the problem.
On top of that : Nothing happens when I click cancel in the windows about "checking tracking database" if it is still there after one hour or more. |

I have narrowed down the problem.
When I start VV and lauch a compare, it often (70%) happens that the compare window appears but gets stuck there, doing nothing.
In that case it is sufficient that I minimize the compare window with the minimize button in it's title bar.
VV then minimizes to the task bar and pops up again immediately with the results of the compare.
Conclusion : it works but it is not normal behavior and it is annoying. |

Hi, should not happen, are you just opening the profile in ViceVersa and then click on "Compare"? Do you have any software installed that "customizes" the Windows appearance? thanks _________________ --

YES : that is exactly what I am doing - I Start VV with the latest used profile and I hit the "compare"button.
NO : I have no software whatsoever that "customizes" the Windows appearance. |
