Hi

I would like to know if it is possible use VV on the following scenario.

I have a main directory with many subdirectories.

I would like to copy one of those subdirectory to one drive and all the other subdirectories to another drive.

So I've setup VV to copy my main directory (say D:\Data) to drive E:\Data
and D:\Data\Safe to F:\Data\Safe.

Anyway, in this way, D:\Data\Safe is copied also to E:\Data\Safe, but if I sxclude the directory D:\Data\Safe, it is ignored also in the second target.

Thanks

Furthermore if I exclude E:\Data\Safe rather than D:\Data\Safe, something strange occours:

there are no files in left pane of D:\Data\Safe vs F:\Data\Safe and all the files on F:\Data\Safe are considered "single" file even if they exists in D:\Data\Safe.

If I press Execute (with synchronization), there are error for each single file tell me that the timestamp on files of D:\Data\Safe is changed.

The source directory is something as follow:

D:\Data\Safe
D:\Data\NonSafeData1
D:\Data\NonSafeData2
D:\Data\NonSafeData3
D:\Data\NonSafeData4

I want to copy D:\Data\Safe in F:\Data\Safe and all the other on E:\Data

Of course I don't want to specify every NonSafeDataX directory as they can (and will) change.

Of course the real names are different. Do you need the real names?

Setup two profiles:
one copies D:\Data\Safe to F:\Data\Safe
for the other one, use
D:\Data\ as source and E:\Data as target and add an exclude subfolder filter D:\Data\Safe\

thanks

Thank you for answer but two profiles is not a suitable solution for me (unless there is a way to run them together).

I created, instead, two links D:\DataSafe and D:\NormalData both pointed to D:\Data.

In this way I send D:\DataSafe to F: and D:\NormalData to E: excluding the directories D:\NormalData\Safe and and D:\DataSafe\NonSafeData*

To create the link, I've used Link Shell Extension(. Very nice tool.

Hi - if you want to run two profiles together you can use the VVEngine, see:
