All of a sudden about a week ago all of my clients viceversa backup jobs stopped sending the email notifications at the end of the job. When i test the configuration in the email settings viceversa crashes. Any one else experienced this?

They all send from the same email account that is mine hosted at Office365. This has been working for years with no changes made on my end. Same password and my email is working fine. I emailed support and got one reply back with no more responses in two days.

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying via e-mail, are we able to test this on our machines, e.g. can you share the Office365 info you are using to send the e-mail that is causing the crash? thanks!

We have the exact issue, but it started about month or so ago. I put a ticket in with support and it went nowhere. I would get emails in the middle of the night asking me the same questions or asking me for logs that don't exist. Its defiantly an incompatibility with VV and Office 365 as we have several applications using the same account and settings. I would say that Microsoft has made a change on their side that has caused this. The odd thing is we have another site that have VV and office 365 and they haven't stopped working yet. i've done everything to resolve this and nothing works. thi s weekend I deployed a new server and brand new VV install and the problem remains.

This really needs to be fixed without sharing an account password with VV

Yes, we will fix it. It must be a change on the Office365 side that somehow ViceVersa cannot handle. Are you maybe able to provide a test account + password that we can use to test this, so we can recreate the exact same issue on our machines? thanks

Hi, a ViceVersa PRO user reported that to make e-mail notifications work with Office365, the following settings had to be used:

smtp server: SMTP.OUTLOOK.COM
port: 587
Requires auth and TLS
