Dear Fellows,

since some special mixed sources (HyperV aka VSS and LAN shares) in one single backup job are not working (see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/forum/viewtopict4581.htm) there must be another solution.

So I tried to stack ViceVersa backup jobs, which should work well in theory:

- First I defined a working backup by "Source and Targets" window
- Second I went to "Profile Settings / Advanced Settings / Custom Scripts / Run scripts after execution / Run this script after execution". There is a file selector and I simply selected another "stacked" ViceVersa backup job.

Eh, I felt quite a bit genius Smile

To say it short: My overwhelming joy was broken by reality because ViceVersa simply stopped in the half of the backup job before executing this "stacked" job and neither a error message nor another action appeared. Simply nothing, niente, nada.

OMG, some ways to Rome are far...

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Hi, you can do this in VVEngine:
http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm
It can "link" profiles and run them sequentially.

Dear TGRMN,

thanks for your tip.

It's anyway not working properly. The dialogue in VVENGINE only shows the first backup job in the folder

C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\ViceVersa PRO 2

But there are about 10 job files. So I couldn't select the job I want to define as "linked" profile.

What to do? Thank you!

Best regards

PS:
So far it seems that there only can be linked one single job. How I can I link more than one single job?

Hi, you will need to add all the profiles to VVEngine (schedule them to run manually). Then link A to B, B to C, C to D etc. thanks
