I apologize if I had missed anything in the FAQ's about this...
I recently upgraded our VVPro version from 2.5 build 2505 to build 2513. Now I am occasionally receiving Recovery Email. The profile reads as completed successfully and I understand that the recovery mail is sent when a profile recovers from a previous error. I have set up to have profiles email when there has been an error and not to email when it has been successful.
Why did I not receive notification of the profile error? I check the profile logs and see that it was simply a copy/delete error, the file was in use. I would usually get the error mail notification for this.
This is concerning me because when we ran build 2503 we would not receive emails upon error like we instructed, we would believe the profile completed successfully only to find out that it was not completing the comparison at start and then simply stopping with a completed successful result no files would actually be mirrored. So far the profiles look like they have completed. |

Still have not had had another Recovery Instance to demonstrate the log for, however, I do expect it to occur again as we do see this happen 1-2 times a week randomly. Every few weeks we do not see it fo the course of a week but it does reoccur again.
I will post that profiles log when it happens. Thank you for your patience. |

Turns out we had an a Recovery Mail Notification instance last night, however again we did not receive an Error/Failure notifications prior to the recovery email so I am not aware what may have happened. We have the profile set to email only on an error not on success. The recovery mail appears to demonstrate a successful run. I took a copy of the Profile log and forwarded it to support@tgrmn.com as per your request for your review.
Again thank you for your cooperation and time. |

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
It appears that a recovery email is sent directly after the first run of the profile that does not error.
For example: profile runs hourly.
- 12:00; Profile ran but Execution completed with file copy/delete errors.
- 1:00; Profile runs again on schedule but this time completes successfully, no errors. A Recovery email is sent.
The recovery email sent is not necessarily related the that specific run time as in the profile ran at 1:00 and error bu then recovered during the run and sent a recovery mail.
Again, please correct me if I am mistaken. |

Hi, yes, that the would be the correct behavior, the e-recovery mail is sent the first time a profile runs successfully after a previous error. thanks _________________ --
