I recently replaced and old Win2K computer with one running Win7. It had VVPro 1.3.1 doing some mirroring (it's the master, to a remote site through a VPN.) Some files could take 1-2 minutes to copy.
VVPro works fine, but seems to have some minor annoyances. The main one is that the progress meter is goofy. It seems to update once for each file after a few seconds, then never again for that file, making it hard to tell just what progress is being made. Under Win2K, it would update every few seconds or so.
Is there any workaround for this? Does the latest VVPro work better? Would it be a drop-in upgrade with no changes needed? The processes used are mainly just simple mirroring.
This one works fine otherwise, it's just the display oddity. |

Hi, there were many changes between 1.3.1 to 2.5, I am not sure if 2.5 will work better for the point you raised. Does 1.3.1 have the option to "flush buffer every write" in profile settings -> performance? That's probably the option you want to flush the caching. thanks _________________ --
