Scenario:
Computer_A <-> External Disk <-> Computer_B
Method: Synchronization
Tracking Database: enabled
Comparison: Size & Timestamp
Although the offending files did not change over time, apparently date and time are not the same, generating conflicts.
For example:
Code: | 2014-05-15 10:41:32 : ** Conflict - E:\Users\Rix\Downloads\getID3-master.zip (CHANGED) (1,21MB) (29-04-2014 12:42:33) <-> N:\Downloads\getID3-master.zip (CHANGED) (1,21MB) (28-04-2014 15:17:30)
2014-05-15 10:41:32 : ** Conflict - E:\Users\Rix\Downloads\Start8_setup_sd.exe (CHANGED) (7,14MB) (06-05-2014 11:18:00) <-> N:\Downloads\Start8_setup_sd.exe (CHANGED) (7,14MB) (29-04-2014 18:52:03)
2014-05-15 10:41:32 : - To Do - Synchronization |
This may be due to different time on Computer_A and Computer_B, howeber why this should generate a conflict if the files are unchanged?
Maybe you could CRC check the two files (as a user selectable option) only when conflicts arise? If the two files are CRC identical then overwrite/update, removing conflict automatically ** OR ** ask user intervention (dialog box) allowing user to choose what side should overwrite the other...
Let me know |

Hi, there's an option to compare only using CRC, but in this case I am wondering why the timestamps have changes but not the content of the files? _________________ --
