Hello,
I am a long time user of VV plus. I recently installed viceVersa Pro on a new computer running Windows 7 Professional and am evaluating it.
After setting up a profile and using it successfully several times, I did a full windows 7 system backup with system image from the control panel.

The backup did not complete successfully. The error message follows:

" Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\viceversa archive. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))"

The folder \viceversa archive does not exist in the above path. There are currently no files in the source backup folder and probably never will be because I use and plan on using your software in backup source mode.

The pro version works perfectly other than the above problem. Please advise next steps.
Thanks

Hi, do you have a Windows library folder that you created to use with ViceVersa? I found this article that seems to describe the issue you are seeing with Windows Backup: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979281 (See Scenario 1) thanks

I think you found the problem. There is a library folder titled ViceVersa Archive. I did not create it however. I am assuming it was created as part of the install process.
The archive folder is the default, c:users\computer name\viceversa archive.

I will review the scenario one recommendations and decide on a solution and post my results.

Thank You!
