I think it is extremely useful to enable/add an option to keep the Baloon tip open until user intervention when an error is triggered. What may happen is that the tray icon will not show as red, for example when conflicts occur and manual reconciliation is required.
The lack of the blocked ballon tip or the blue icon may trick users believing no error/conflict occurred; see here:
Users not only are tricked by blue icon; also the profile list page will show a green icon (no problems)

Once entered the profile details, an error/conflict is shown

copy and paste the above URLS to evaluate screenshots (BTW why it is not allowed to post images on the forum?) |

Hi, the two images are the same, can you re-post the one showing conflicts please? When conflicts are detected the profile will go in error unless you have selected options not to. thanks

Sorry I have lost the link (and the screenshot).... basically the second screenshot was showing the profile's details, where the first three lines with a green icon and the fourth item with red icon, however out of sight when viewing log from the profile's summary (first screenshot).
Conclusion: it can happen that a faulty synchronize will not clearly appear to user within VVEngine's main screen. Hence, users have to regularly (and manually) select the profile's details to ensure no errors occurred.
So back to my initial propose: why not leave the red icon with a balloon tip until user intervention? |

Does this mean that after a conflict followed by a successful sync, the conflict will be fixed automatically? |

Most likely was a conflict with a temp file (e.g. a temp word doc), that got solved by itself. Perform a full comparison to check that there are no conflicts anymore. thanks _________________ --
