I am using Viceversa + VVEngine to synchronize two computers.
Computer A [VVengine] <-> External Disk <-> Computer B [VVengine]
Newly and updated files are copied and synchronized as expected between two computers and external disk, however when a file or folder is deleted on a computer it will be restored on the external disk within the other computer. For example:
1) Folder "playlists" is present on both computers and the external disk.
2) Do delete folder "playlists" on Computer_A
3) Once the external disk, configured with autosynch, is plugged in Computer_A, synchronize occurs correctly and folder "playlists" is correctly deleted from the external disk
4) Once the external disk is connected to Computer_B, synchronize occurs
5) VV should extend changes occurred on Computer_A and external disk to computer_B, deleting folder "playlists" on Computer_B, however it will copy back on the external disk folder "playlists" from Computer_B
Shouldn't vvengine synchronize delets between the two computers? |

Hi, yes, there must be a configuration error for profile B. Are you keeping the tracking databases separated, e.g. one different tracking db per profile? thanks _________________ --

Yes, both profiles and tracking data are kept separately on each computer. Each containing folder is not part of synchronized data, to avoid conflicts.
It really happened just once, so I will report any future glitches. |
