While editing a file within Word 2010, VVEngine trapped an error:
Quote:
Execution completed with conflicts. Some files were in conflict. These files need to be reconciled manually.

Log excerpt:
Quote:
Conflict - e:\Users\Rix\Desktop\~$libdoc.doc (CHANGED) (162B) (16-01-2014 16:32:19) <-> n:\desktop\~$libdoc.doc (REMOVED) (0) (-)

Although these settings are active (copy & paste URL in tour browser):

Is this by design? Shouldn't VV halt when file (temporary file) open? Once closed synch will work

To avoid ViceVersa trying to copy in-use files enable the option to 'skip files that are in-use' in ViceVersa profile settings -> advanced settings.

BTW the conflict was reported because the file on target N:\ was deleted. Is that the case?

thanks

Yes the option "skip files that are in-use" is enabled, however I can't confirm if at a certain point one of the two files (source/target) was deleted by Word, as a temporary file managed by Word...

Hi, is any other software applying changes to the target drive or only ViceVersa? Are you using the drive on a different computer or only on this computer? thanks

No other software running, the drive is used to synchronize two computers (and keep an external copy,

Computer A [vvengine] <- external drive -> Computer B [vvengine]

However the error was issued only once a document was being edit by Word on one computer (and the external drive was attached). Apparently the error has been issued on a temporary Word file...
