Evaluation period
Windows 8-64
VVPro version 2.5.1.3
VVLauncher version 2.0.0.4
Profile created and filed in VVPro Target directory and Source directory on different drives - one local, one network, doesn't matter which is which, same results either way.
Manual execution of VVPro seems to work well.
Executing VVLauncher manually gives 0x80070057 error. Closing and reopening VVLauncher after the error is sometimes (but not always) successful. Subject line of this post is the complete text of the error message.
Running VVLauncher as service on local machine logs the following message and does not synchronize folders:
"...12/30/2013 19:37:05 [110933.611-PID:780] Profile running.
12/30/2013 19:37:06 [110934.486-PID:780] Profile finished. Result "Unable to open tracking database. It may be inaccessible or in use by another ViceVersa process.". Exit Code: 9.
..."
Any advice? The program is useless to me unless this can be corrected. |

Found a cure for : "Result "Unable to open tracking database. It may be inaccessible or in use by another ViceVersa process.". Exit Code: 9. "
The user/login used to run the service didn't have permission to access the folder containing the tracking database. Corrected that and the service seems to be syncing the test data well.
That didn't correct the other problem when running the VVLauncher from the desktop, but that's not as big a deal since the intent is to run the application as a service. Running from the desktop would be atypical.
As it stands now, the evaluation can continue, although if anyone has any insights into the 0x80070057 error, I'd appreciate hearing them. |

Since this error is now affecting running the application as a service as well as from the desktop, VV Pro is useless to me. If there is no one for TGRMN support monitoring this forum that can help to find a solution, that is very telling on post sale support.
As it stands now VV Pro will go into the trashcan long before the 30 day trial completes. |
