I'm a potentially new customer, but currently using another Sync program, but wanting to change.
I've tried reading the faq, forum and website features etc, but can't readily see my answer.
My needs are:
(1) To one way Sync to different drive folders in Google Drive.
(2) I currently use a Family History Database where the file date & time stamp change on use of the program. However if no editing occurs, the file size remains the same. Can I somehow ignore the date & time stamps and only choose to Sync if the file size changes ?
(3) In addition to the Google drive syncing I want to be able to Sync to an external USB drive when turning off the computer.
Thank you

Hi, thank you for your interest in ViceVersa.
(1) To one way Sync to different drive folders in Google Drive.
ViceVersa can't sync directly to Google Drive but you can sync vs your local Google drive folder and then let the Google software sync vs Google Drive.
(2) I currently use a Family History Database where the file date & time stamp change on use of the program. However if no editing occurs, the file size remains the same. Can I somehow ignore the date & time stamps and only choose to Sync if the file size changes ?
You can use CRC comparison only for that file , which only considers file contents. However that type of comparison takes longer so i would set a separate profile just for that file.
(3) In addition to the Google drive syncing I want to be able to Sync to an external USB drive when turning off the computer.
Yes, you can run a profile and then shutdown with a script.
Have a look at VVEngine to, it's a powerful scheduler and manager for ViceVersa profiles:
