|
|
Hi
When I stop & start VVlauncher service using InstServ, I can see 2 processes are started in the task manager, one using the ID with which the VVLauncher is set up and one using the ID which i logged in to server to start the VVLauncher service. Is this an known behavior? Because this has caused a Tracking DB error.
I am using Vice Versa Pro 2.5 on the Windows 2008 R2 server.
Thanks. |

The VVLauncher service is set up using a service account with admin access to the server. I started the service using InstServ by logging into the server using another user account which is also having admin access to the server. But it is strange to see that when i kill all the VVlauncher processes and then stop and start the service through InstServ, 2 processes starts up as I mentioned in my previous post. |

Trying to duplicate this issue on the Windows Server 2008 R2. Are you using the latest ViceVersa build 2513? thanks _________________ --

Thank you. It's normal to have 2 processes running. One is the VVLaunhcer service itself and the other one is providing the VVLauncher icon on the taskbar of the user that is logged in. This is not the cause of the Tracking DB error. I recommend that you use the VVEngine add-on to run as service, please see: http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm
VVEngine service functionality is a lot more powerful.
