Hi, it could be that the SAMBA folder \\10.100.3.244\appl\APPS\ can't be monitored from the Windows Server; you may need to disable monitoring for changes for the source folder and only monitor the target. _________________ --

That's my question. Why can't it be monitored? How does the realtime monitoring work and does it rely on server-side (the source file server) functionality and if so what exactly is it and do you know if Samba supports that and if so what verson?
Thanks,

Hi Tracy,
Local folders can always be monitored for changes, but for network folders on SMB it depends on the OS where the folders are hosted. For instance, you can monitor a "remote" folder on another Windows Server OS (2008, 2012, etc), but some Linux OS do not provide this functionality.
