I use VVLauncher to sync files between my desktop and laptop computers. Recently when VVLauncher runs (on the desktop) it makes the mouse pointer jerky and almost unusable. This has been happening for a few months, but it did not occur when I first installed VVPro. Is there a fix for this? |

I am using Windows 8 (and now Win 8.1). The jerky mouse starts when VVLauncher begins to run the profile and there is fairly large network activity. There is not a lot of cpu activity, though. Then the mouse returns to normal before the profile stops running. I do not see this mouse activity with any other program. Oh, I am using a Microsoft wireless USB mouse.
thanks for your interest. |

Thanks , by "Jerky mouse" do you mean changing shape? Does it happen if the profile runs in ViceVersa instead of VVLauncher? Does this only happen when files are copied to/from the network? thanks _________________ --

The mouse pointer does not change shape. It flits around the screen as I move the mouse, so I must move it very slowly to position it where I want, and even then it seems to move suddenly and randomly. So, the mouse pointer seems to have only a loose connection the mouse.
I have VVEngine profiles that run automatically on each of my machines that back up to my network attached storage(NAS) (this transfer occurs over my home network), and I manually run VVPro profiles to do backups to external USB drives that are connected and turned on only when I do these backups (this transfer occurs between my NAS and the USB drives connected to the computer, so it does occur across the network, too) . The mouse does not misbehave during any of these operations. It only becomes "jerky" when the VVlauncher profile runs (automatically) to mirror files between my two machines (this transfer occurs over the network, too). The VVLauncher profile runs on the desktop machine.
Both machines have Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit, but the problem was occurring before with Win 8. The jerkiness only lasts for a short time and stops even before the VVlauncher profile stops running.
Thanks |

Thanks, if you add that profile to VVEngine, instead of VVLauncher, and run it from there (and disable the VVLaunhcer), no issues in that case, even with the same profile? thanks _________________ --
