Hi,
I am trying to recover from a Cryptolocker encryption virus/ransom mess that happened on 09/30/13. Workstation got hit and then jumped across a mapped share. Everything except some minor folders was covered by crashplan and storagecraft but really the damage was minimal as the workstation was rebooted and the virus got binned on restart.
I want to see if I can get some of the low level folders whole again or at least in better shape than they are. I have a full copy of the folders from 07/15/13 and I am at a loss for how to use the program to get where I need to be – I am a dir opus user and have never has to attempt this sort of thing before.
The way the virus works is it changes the date of the folder but keeps the file dates the same and obviously the contents of the file changes therefore it’s slightly larger. What I want to do is a one way sync from the good copy to the target and skips anything created/modified after 09/30 in case someone created an identical file name and is working on it.
Can someone please step me through the setting needed to accomplish this task – the app looks powerful but only in the hands of someone more skilled than I am.
Thank you.

Hello,

using file filters (in the profile settings) you should be able to select only files modified before a certain date.

thanks
