I could swear I saw somewhere that you could turn off the re-compare after a profile run... but when I looked for it I could not find it. On a large run with several hundred thousand files this seems redundant. Why would I need to re-compare after a run from vvengine and how do I turn it off? |

well this isn't what I was referring to. I use the real-time monitoring fine. I'm not talking about the rescan or recompare at profile startup I was referring to the recompare that takes place immediately AFTER a profile is completed. Perhaps I don't understand what this is doing. It happens whether or not real time monitoring is on or off.
On a large profile containing many many files it eats up many minutes of processing time for no reason? The files were just copied with crc check, why would I need to waste time recomparing them all again? I could have sworn somewhere I saw a flag that would prevent this from running... maybe I'm crazy... it's possible...
oops, just saw the other response, lol, yes this is what I was referring to... |
