|
|
After one of many machine freezes (I suspect from a conflict with VVEngine and on-board RAID) VVEngine restarted with zero profiles vs. the 14 that were there and used often. I can see that the VVEngine.xml and .bak files are now "empty". I can see in the log when the VVEngine originally couldn't open either the xml or the bak files but it doesn't say why.
I can copy complete VVEngine.xml and .bak files from a saveset with all the profiles, but the xml and bak files are just reset back to empty when I try to use VVEngine.
Is there a way to use saveset files to recover profiles in VVEngine, or must I spend hours reloading and testing all the profiles manually? If the VVEngine is not using the profiles in VVEngine.xml, where are they coming from?
Searches on "lost VVEngine profiles" turned up nothing useful.

Hi, shutdown VVEngine , make sure it's not running. Copy the file VVEngine.xml and restart the VVEngine (check the VVEngine log for errors after restarting).
PS I think it's quite unlikely that VVEngine is causing the issue with machine freezes, it's more likely to be the RAID software) _________________ --
