Is there a way to control startup of vvengine.... for example, I would like to be able to delay or prevent auto startup in certain situations... There are other programs such as crashplan and dropbox that also attempt to monitor file changes and sync... all of them starting up at the same time can be problematic... |

If you have not setup VVEngine to run as a service , VVEngine is started via a task in Windows Task Scheduler. You could have a look at the options in there to control VVEngine start-up. _________________ --

Hi, if you restart VVEngine manually, it will re-create the start-up task automatically, should it be missing. _________________ --

This kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? I mean if I don't want it to start automatically I disable the task but then whenever I manually start the engine the task is recreated? |

Hi, maybe if you change the details of the start-up VVEngine task, e.g. delay start-up, then VVEngine does not modify it back? _________________ --

no problem. I solved the problems that were requiring that anyway so no longer an issue for me... Thanks. |
