Hello,
I am evaluating VV to backup a WebDAV directory. The UNC is a URL , like https://blah.blah.com/documents. I also have a mapped drive to this location.
I am able to successfully run the job in vv pro, however with vvengine it cannot find the source, whether i use a mapped drive or the URL. I have vvengine installed as a service, and I change the log on tab to be my account which has access to the url / mapped drive.
So two questions really:
1. Does VVEngine support webdav or anything i can do as a workaround?
2. If not, how do i run the job automatically without vvengine?
Thank you. |

Hi, which Windows OS are you running VVEngine on? Which software is providing the mapping between the webdav URL and the mapped drive? thank you _________________ --

I have it working with the mapped drive in vvpro, using a scheduled task to run a batch file with the /hiddenautoexec switch. the users has to be logged in, that's a little bit of a bummer, but not horrible. so forget question 2.
does vv engine (or vvpro) for that matter support a webdav URL as the source? I can't get it to work, using the URL. I am trying to connect to a sharepoint server if that makes any difference. |

sorry i saw your question after my second post.
i am on a Windows 8, 64 bit computer. the software providing the drive mapping is just Windows Explorer, whatever Windows uses to map the drive. i.e., right-click my computer - map network drive |

Hi , VVEngine and ViceVersa do not support WebDav URLs, they need to go via mapped drives. VVEngine and VVScheduler should both work similarly. thanks _________________ --
