|
|
We have had VVEngine server premium for a while now and ever since the patch update I've noticed an odd issue where for some reason VVEngine will perform a full rescan of all folders even when no changes are detected.
The start and end times are within minutes on a normal basis, then all of the sudden it changes to 45 - 48 minute intervals where full rescans are being done in every instance. The only way for us to fix this is to manually disable all profiles, then renable it. It performs the full rescan the first time, then after that it performs like normal only performing full rescans when changes are detected.
I double checked the configuration and it is set to monitor on subfolder only just like our other server with vv engine premium server edition installed.
Please advise. |

Hi, what's the reason given for the full rescan? To check, please click on "Show Details and History..." on the VVEngine profile page and then on "[Go to Previously Detected Changes list on this page]". thank you _________________ --

I can't see it now since I fixed the issue during the time of posting this to the forum (8/19). It's running fine now, but if it reverts back to full rescanning again I'll post the details here. |

It is back to the full rescans every time and it says "This profile is not monitoring for changes." in the area you asked for information on. |

If the issue happens again, I will send screenshot. There's no "error" really, it's mainly why it resorts to full scans everytime if no changes are detected with VVEngine server premium edition and scan on subfolder level enabled on the profiles. If there is anything else you will need, please let me know. Since the issue has not re-occurred for a few days now, it may be hard to get you what you need every time it happens. |

This problem is back and I cannot really find any consistency on what causes it to reoccur.
I've included additional detail and screenshots in my email. |

I never received a response on my emails.
Anyways, we ended up completely uninstalling everything, including any registry entries and recreated all the profiles in VVEngine. Haven't noticed the issue since the reinstallation was completed, but time will tell.
Just posting this in case anyone else runs into similar issue. |
