Hello,
I am aware that Windows 2012 is supported but is the Resilient File System (ReFS) supported? I can't seem to find it mentioned.

Data deduplication is NTFS only, it can't be used on ReFS. ViceVersa PRO does not do anything special with data deduplication on a Server 2012: data deduplication is transparent to ViceVersa. If ViceVersa is used to replicate a Virtual Machine which has deduplication, then the volume to backup will be smaller.

Hi,

Testing out ReFS support in our existing ViceVersa Backup setup on Server 2012. Files seem to copy fine but it doesn't seem to respect ACL's that I am trying to transfer. It just picks up whatever the base folders security is on the target and nothing from the source directory. I have "Copy permissions, security attributes, streams" enabled but understand that it says "NTFS only" so that may be my final answer. Smile

I'm able to move data from a ReFS volume to a NTFS volume using robocopy with the /MIR flag. I'm curious if there is a workaround for Viceversa to copy Security ACL's from ReFS volumes to NTFS or if that would be something in version 3.0?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi, do source and target folders have exactly the same permissions to start with, including inherited ones? thanks!

Is this ReFS issue resolved?

I want to use Viceversa Pro in our new Windows Server 2019 with ReFS formatted disks.

Good news! You should add this like a new feature in ViceversaPro website (features and home page with big letters), because few programs support ReFS.

I think YES. All of the errors have long paths >255. What i don't know is if i have more long paths without errors.
