I have recently purchased a Galaxy Note II as a portable extension to a desktop. But it is one of these new devices without drive letters, like some GPS receivers.

I use VV to update my Windows PC with new files made on my GPSrs, but those without drive letters require a slow manual comparison.

This is virtually impossible with an Andriod with such a large (64GB) capacity.

OK, I could remove the SD card and use a card reader, but if VV was able to work on folders displayed in Windows without a drive letter, that would be much better.

So is it possible and if not could it be added in a later version?

Thanks - that's encouraging.

Now the silly question - what's the time scale?

Are there any news on this?
I believe this is desperately needed by quite a number of people... it certainly is for me, I would even consider buying a "plug-in" so it works. Thanks.

Sorry, no news at the moment, this feature is on hold right now. One of the reasons is that we think users more and more use cloud services to sync their mobile phones rather than connecting directly to a PC.

I can't agree.

At the top of your home webpage, I read:-

"Never Ever Lose Data"

One thing that is certain is that over the years, numerous websites have closed with a very short period of notice. This has resulted in massive losses of data.

Data security, as TGRMN knows only too well, is that one keeps multiple copies of ones data in different locations.

If I recall the name TGRMN correctly, it's been around for much longer than the internet. Where you not involved with data security for the early BACS systems?

I also have many GPSrs and not one of them will sync to the cloud for backup.

Lots of people have media players (such as Astell & Kern) for which a tool like ViceVersa would be perfect for syncing.
