I'm evaluating VV Pro with VV Engine to try to achieve realtime synchronization of shared content between our IIS web farm. I can't use DFS or FRS because those require the presence of a windows domain controller which is a luxury I don't have at this point :-s

My setup requires one pair of username/password to access each network share via UNC. I noticed that in VV Pro, it only accepts one username/password for the whole profile. My questions is: What if I have different credentials for each network share? how can I configure that in the synchronization profile?

Will it work if I create same username/password locally on each machine and configure that in VV Pro?

One more thing, I noticed that realtime synchronization is not exactly realtime as it takes at least 5 seconds to detect and reflect changes (always). What can be done from my side to make it look more realtime if not instant?

Thank you,
K.

Hi, the second login can be put in a script to run before execution (profile settings -> advanced settings), using the net use command. thanks
