I am trying to split (by way of mirroring) a large folder on one RAID into 2 distinct folders on 2 RAIDS such that:

RAID A -> RAID B + RAID C

where RAID B = 1/2 RAID A and RAID C = 1/2 RAID A

essentially I want to divide a large directory so that all first level subfolders that begin A-M go to the first RAID backup and N-Z to the second. My problem is the filter is applied to all folder levels so that if I ask VV to exclude [a-n]* all second, third, fourth, etc level folders that begin a-n are excluded as well. I only want to exclude at the first level and then backup all subfolders.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Daniel

Hi,

Try using the \ in front of the folder name mask, e.g.

\[a-n]*
