I have a small network on which two computers are running VVengine in order to backup their local data files to a Network Attached Store (NASMaster). Additionally, NASMaster is synchronised with another NAS (NASMirror) to provide data resilience. Since either computer may not be online at the same time, each runs the profile to synch NASMaster to NASMirror.
I would like to store the vv Profile on the NAS in order to simplify administration but vvEngine, running as a service, will not allow me to load a profile from the network. Is there a solution to this please? |

Hi, if VVEngine is running as a service it is probably better to store the profiles locally. Under which account is the VVEngine service running? thanks _________________ --

Thanks for the quick response. VVEngine is running under a user account with administrative privileges. I have currently set up a vvProfile to sync the network stored profiles back to the local PC's in the event of any changes to a specific profile but this fails if one of the PC's is offline (Target not found). Any ideas?
