|
|
I have a weird problem where the comparison shows a few files within a folder on the target to have exactly 1 hour off time-stamp, although both files are identical (neither have changed since last execution). In the window where I view the comparisons, I figured I can get past this mistake by manually copying the files that are newer in the source to the target, and the results show that everything was completed successfully. However, when attempting a new comparison from that point, the same exact files re-appear with the same exact discrepancy within the time-stamp (the same batch of files have exactly 1 hour difference between modified time; but no changes again made to the files between the two comparisons. Can you please let me know what can possibly be causing this problem? Again, this is only about 5% of the files (jpegs) that I have within the same exactly folder of other jpegs; its not the whole folder that is acting this way; rather just 5% of the files within that folder. Your help will be greatly appreciated. |

Thanks, maybe you should enable the option Ignore 1 hour difference between files: "Are you seeing 1 hour difference between files in source and target that should instead have the same timestamp? That is because FAT file timestamps are not adjusted for Daylight Saving Time (DST) whereas NTFS entries are. To work around this, activate the option "Ignore 1 hour difference between files".
It's in profile settings -> comparison. thanks _________________ --

I will be happy to do that; however, I would like to confirm if this can potentially ignore updated files that happen to be 1 hour apart from each other? |

To be ignored they would need to be of the exact same size, same name, same folder and have timestamp exactly 1 hour apart (down to the second). I think it would be pretty safe. thanks _________________ --
