I normaly just use Vice Versa to compare my desktop files to those on my laptop and then just copy my new or changed folders to one or the other. But as it was getting to be a larger and larger task I decided to use Syncronization and it worked just fine and all files were now the same on both machines. That was several weeks ago and today I decided to run VV again and this time the comparison had a few expected differences but what surrprised me was this huge section of about 2.5 GB which was from a folder called LINKS on my desktop machine. It appeared to have all of the same files that were a part of other "legimate" folders most which hadn't changed. It finally dawned on me that this foldder that I hadn't never seen before was now showing up in Windows Explorer. I have no idea of how it got there or why it was created since it contains duplicates of files from a large number of folders My firat reaction is to delete this folder but thought it best to ask if this was created by VV and if so, why? If not any ideas as to what could have caused it?

Hello,
the folder LINKS was definitely not created by ViceVersa. Sorry I do not know what caused the creation of this folder, maybe try Google to check if there's more info on this folder?

thanks

Thanks, at least I know what it's not related to. A quick Google search didn't find anything speciific. I've remanmed the folder and moved it to an external harddrive and will wait to see what happens.
